A HUGE week for N.E.W. although we did not have an in person event.
First, I was asked by Charleston based DigSouth org to write an Oped article about the piece that Savannah, Georgia was offering $2,000 for individuals with tech talent and experience to MOVE to the coastal region of Georgia.
My simple OpEd turned into a five page book or a playbook on how to build an ecosystem and overcome the lack of resources without a budget.

2nd – I was asked by DigSouth to participate in their Wild Pitch Wednesday event with WALE client Mesur.io

3rd – I was asked by GrepBeat to write a follow up article to the inaugural Postcard from Wilmington about the ecosystem
This is now the most read article on the web site for the week despite the FACT that GrepBeat is EXCLUSIVELY for Raleigh / Durham and includes no content outside of the Triangle.
Last year , this piece from Wilmington was the 7th most read article of the YEAR on GrepBeat , owned by past NEW event speaker Joe Colopy
I wish I knew the financial value of the positive press to have the Wilmington economy presented in two competitive cities that are 2x to ten times bigger than Wilmington.
Again, this is NOT self promotion but I was asked to write these articles. Sure it is free content for them but great exposure for our efforts.
So thank you for your support.
